The Geological Sciences BS degree path focuses on building a solid scientific foundation in geology while providing a robust background in fundamental sciences. This curriculum is tailored for students aiming to pursue geology-related careers immediately after graduation—such as in energy resources, environmental consulting, or State and National Geological Surveys—or for those planning to advance to graduate studies.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.  If you have already completed secondary school, you need to submit both academic transcripts and proof of graduation with your application documents. 
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.000, both overall and at the University at Buffalo
