The Engineering Management Program is an interdisciplinary initiative that blends engineering principles with business strategies. This curriculum equips seasoned engineers and scientists with the skills needed for leadership positions in overseeing a company's technological assets, including personnel, systems, and workflows. The program is collaboratively delivered with the College of Business.
The Master of Science in Engineering Management equips engineering professionals transitioning into leadership roles with essential engineering and business methodologies. These roles may involve product development, strategic planning, or managing technological resources. Alumni learn to harness an organization's technical expertise to fulfill its strategic mission. MS candidates can choose from multiple completion paths: coursework (10 classes), capstone (9 courses plus applied research), or thesis (8 courses with a research thesis). Students collaborate with advisors to select the optimal path and coursework for their career objectives.
