Earning an M.B.A. requires completing 33 to 51 credits of coursework (based on a student's previous education) in core business subjects and electives, with options for full-time or part-time study. The Willumstad School of Business's Graduate Programs Office reviews each applicant's academic history to assess potential waivers for prerequisite and foundational courses, which can decrease the total credits needed. To qualify for waivers, equivalent courses must have been taken within the last 5-7 years with a B grade or better. This adaptable approach supports students from diverse educational backgrounds, including those holding advanced degrees who wish to pursue graduate business studies. New students should consult with the MBA Program Director in Hagedorn Hall, Room 121, early in their enrollment to evaluate possible course waivers before completing their first semester.
