The Master of Science in biomedical engineering is a collaborative program between UTA and UT Southwestern Medical Center. This interdisciplinary initiative combines resources from biological, engineering, mathematical, physical, and medical science departments across both institutions, overseen by the Committee on Graduate Studies in Biomedical Engineering. The M.S. program equips students with fundamental life science knowledge, engineering principles, and practical skills for careers in biotechnology and biomedical engineering fields. This 30-credit program culminates in a Master of Science degree, offering both thesis and non-thesis pathways, with the thesis option providing hands-on laboratory research experience.
