The University of Texas at Arlington's music program is quickly establishing itself as a premier destination for musical education in North Texas. With the recent addition of a Master of Music degree and Performance Certificate, we've broadened pathways for career advancement in the field. Our String Area, under the direction of acclaimed performers, is witnessing remarkable expansion. Faculty members dedicate themselves to delivering exceptional one-on-one training and mentorship to aspiring music professionals.

Beyond private lessons, students at all levels can participate in orchestral and chamber music performances. The flagship UTA Symphony Orchestra stages an annual concert series featuring masterworks from the classical canon. While most players are music majors, openings exist for students from other disciplines. The chamber music program offers additional performance avenues, with small groups delving into repertoire for string trios, quartets, quintets, and mixed ensembles incorporating piano, brass, and woodwind instruments.
