The Department of Curriculum and Instruction aims to train and assist skilled educators capable of addressing students' varied learning, social, and emotional requirements. Faculty members enhance education by producing and sharing impactful research, creating forward-thinking programs to fulfill educational demands, and offering valuable professional services. The Elementary Education Program equips future teachers with the skills needed for EC-6 grade levels. Additionally, it offers elementary education students techniques for teaching non-native English speakers. This four-semester, campus-based program includes classes covering childhood development, educational principles, and teaching approaches for core subjects. Academic studies are directly connected to practical experiences and teaching practice in affiliated elementary schools.
