Physical therapists, also known as Doctors of Physical Therapy (PTs), are specialists in movement who enhance life quality by prescribing exercises, providing manual therapy, and educating patients. They work across diverse environments such as hospitals, outpatient centers, private residences, educational institutions, athletic facilities, corporate settings, and senior care homes. PTs assess and treat patients across all age groups, from infants to elderly individuals. While they often address injuries, disabilities, and medical conditions, PTs also assist healthy individuals in wellness promotion and injury prevention. Their expertise supports patients in reaching fitness objectives, preserving autonomy, and maintaining active lifestyles.
