The Department of Plant Science provides an accelerated Five-Year BS/MS degree option for eligible students, combining a Bachelor's in Plant Science with a Master's in Plant Sciences. A key feature allows participants to apply up to nine credit hours of approved graduate courses from their undergraduate directed electives toward both degrees. Applicants can seek conditional admission upon completing 90 credit hours toward their BS. This program primarily serves students planning to earn their MS at the University of Tennessee, as other institutions might not recognize these dual-counted courses for graduate credit due to their undergraduate application.
