This program offers comprehensive training in plant biology, spanning from molecular processes to whole-plant systems. Students pursuing botany explore plant anatomy, biochemistry, ecology, genetics, physiology, classification, and molecular biology. The interdisciplinary major leverages resources from two UF colleges to equip students for professional achievement. Intimate class sizes feature dedicated faculty focused on undergraduate learning. Learners engage in guided research, collaborating with professors on projects both locally and internationally. Graduates are well-prepared for roles in industry, government positions, advanced academic programs, and secondary education careers.
Students must have completed a secondary and college or university credentials from non-U.S. institutions.
The university will require the following minimum scores on the redesigned SAT: SAT Reading = 24, Writing and Language = 25 and Math = 24. On the ACT, a minimum score of 19 on the Reading section and 19 on the Math section.
