This program is tailored for students aiming to earn an arts and sciences degree while laying the groundwork for veterinary medicine studies. Participants must complete a minimum of 93 credit hours within the College of Arts and Sciences, fulfill Basic Skills and Distribution requirements, and spend their final 30 hours enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville before entering the College of Veterinary Medicine. Choosing a departmental major is optional. After successfully finishing the first year (two semesters) of the veterinary medicine curriculum, students will receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Arts and Sciences. Acceptance into the College of Veterinary Medicine depends on the discretion of its Admissions Committee—participation in this program does not guarantee admission.
