The turfgrass science and management program is tailored for students aiming for careers in cultivating and maintaining turfgrasses for golf courses, parks, sports fields, recreational facilities, and residential or commercial landscapes. This specialization also provides a foundation for advanced studies in turfgrass science. Students are advised to complement their studies with a minor in related disciplines like agricultural economics or environmental and soil sciences. Strategic course selection, guided by an academic advisor, ensures graduates are well-equipped for their desired career paths. A minimum GPA of 2.25 is mandatory for all plant sciences courses within the major.
