PHIL 110 through PHIL 120 serve as foundational courses for the major and can fulfill general education requirements for both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. Working closely with their philosophy advisors, students should choose elective philosophy courses aligned with their academic and professional aspirations. Philosophy majors are required to complete a comprehensive field exam and compile a portfolio containing three written works (each around 3,000 words) from upper-level courses. The portfolio must include one historical philosophy paper, one value theory analysis, and one paper on a philosophical subject of the student's choice.
