The University of Tennessee's Department of Geography and Sustainability provides an accelerated Five-Year BA/MS program designed for dedicated high-achieving students interested in exploring geographic challenges. This intensive pathway enables participants to obtain both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Geography in just five years. The curriculum equips students with essential expertise, practical abilities, and specialized research training necessary for impactful careers in sustainability across government agencies, non-profits, and corporate environments. A key feature allows eligible students to count 9 credit hours of graduate-level coursework toward both degrees simultaneously, streamlining their education while strengthening their research proficiency and critical thinking skills.
