456The Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures enhances language skills while promoting analytical thinking through the study of literature, film, and linguistics, thereby cultivating insightful viewpoints on diverse cultures and societies, including our own. Faculty and student achievements in research, education, and community involvement create a strong platform for promising careers as knowledgeable, active global citizens. Undergraduate students can pursue a B.A. in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures with specializations in French, German, Italian, Russian, or Spanish. Additionally, we provide a Language and World Business track, offered for all aforementioned languages along with Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese. Instruction is also available in Hebrew and Persian.
