As a photography student at USD, you'll hone your abilities in both conventional film and digital photography, along with experimental approaches. You'll learn from South Dakota's sole full-time art photography professor in higher education, who brings over 35 years of expertise. Through collaborative exploration, you'll master photographic development methods, darkroom skills, printing, and creative approaches. The program includes engaging in critiques, attending lectures, and observing demonstrations about key photographic concepts.
Undergraduate photography majors will establish foundational knowledge through classes ranging from beginner to advanced print/digital photography.
