Pursuing an anthropology degree at USD means exploring your fascination with human societies across history. The program covers all four anthropology disciplines—cultural, biological, linguistic, and archaeological—providing a comprehensive education enriched with practical learning opportunities. You'll benefit from close faculty guidance and gain real-world experience through fieldwork, research in USD's Archaeology Lab, internships, and other immersive activities. This foundation prepares you for diverse career paths, from archaeological fieldwork and museum curation to forensic science, digital media design, education, and diplomatic service.
As an anthropology student, you'll develop the knowledge and leadership skills to address future societal issues with deep insights into humanity's past and present.
International students who have officially completed secondary school (high school) in either the United States or their home country may apply for undergraduate admission. High school (secondary school) transcript with grade point average equivalent to 2.6 on a 4.0 scale.
English Language Requirements:
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - 71 or higher (iBT), 530 or higher (paper test), IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - 6.0 or higher, Cambridge International Examinations English subject O-Level with B or higher, English subject A-Level with C or higher; International Baccalaureate (IB) - IB English A (4 or higher) or IB English B (6 or higher).
