Pharmacology and physiology are fundamental scientific fields that bridge our knowledge of human biology with therapeutic interventions. At the University of Rochester, our Pharmacology and Physiology programs emphasize advancing drug mechanism research and discovering novel physiological targets for disease treatment. The 55-credit Master's programs in Pharmacology or Physiology equip students with essential skills to:

The University provides two pathways for earning a Master of Science in Physiology. Applicants must have earned a U.S. baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from a college, university, or technical school of acceptable standing. Students in their final year of undergraduate study may be admitted on the condition that their bachelor's degrees are awarded before they matriculate. Evidence of the earned degree is required prior to matriculation in the form of an official transcript noting degree conferral.
