Equips graduates for teaching roles in universities and higher education institutions, along with research opportunities in government bodies or educational organizations. The Warner School champions a counseling philosophy focused on wellness, prevention, and the mind-body connection. Students in Warner's counseling programs develop expertise in human growth, especially how external influences affect developmental pathways toward lifelong wellbeing. Consequently, our PhD programs in counseling cultivate scholars, teachers, and leaders capable of transforming educational environments to promote healthy development through comprehensive methods that account for social, cultural, family, and personal wellness factors.

We maintain that doctoral students should reject the artificial separation between theory and application, appreciating both fundamental and practical research. Graduates will master core theoretical concepts while developing the ability to analyze theoretical foundations in existing studies and their own work. EdD students additionally build a robust research and theoretical foundation to inform their professional leadership.
