Qualification Requirements

Master's degree in a counseling-related field from an accredited university with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
GRE scores.
Personal statement submitted by answering prompt questions and will be evaluated for your writing skills and responses to open-ended, expressive writing.
Writing sample either from your master's program or employment. This cannot include your master's capstone project, but should reflect your professional writing skills.
Three letters of recommendation focusing upon your academic potential as well as your promise to become an effective counselor, educator, supervisor, or advanced practitioner from the referent's knowledge about the applicant's academic and professional performance. One of the recommendations must be from your master's program. If you graduated from Minnesota State Mankato full-time faculty in the department may NOT be used as references, but adjunct faculty may be used as references. TOEFL iBT score of 61 or above
