The Barry Florescue Undergraduate Business Program at the University of Rochester fosters a dynamic, close community of faculty, staff, scholars, and students. This program arms future entrepreneurial leaders with essential analytical skills through challenging coursework, extracurricular activities, and practical learning experiences designed by our MBA and MS faculty. Students establish a strong grounding in quantitative and applied economics principles, readying them for tomorrow's business landscape.
Earning a BS in business demands four additional courses to specialize in a chosen track. This path is ideal for those seeking deeper exploration of a specific business field.
The BS curriculum suits students aiming for concentrated study in a business discipline. Participants must select one official BS Business concentration (accounting, business analytics, finance, entrepreneurship, information systems, or marketing).
The information systems concentration is a collaborative program between Simon Business School and the Computer Science Department. This track covers fundamental computer science concepts like discrete mathematics, programming, and data structures/algorithms. Through elective choices, students may also gain expertise in mobile app creation, predictive modeling, and database systems. Understanding information systems proves valuable across numerous business roles, including software engineering, product design, application development, and tech leadership.
