The Computer Studies & Information Technology (CSIT) Department offers computer-focused programs for students at various skill levels, from foundational to advanced career training. With coursework spanning computing basics, software applications, IT systems, and network technologies, CSIT equips learners with both conceptual knowledge and practical skills to analyze and address business, networking, and cybersecurity challenges. The department also provides general education classes examining technology's societal and ethical implications. Students can obtain associate degrees by fulfilling certificate requirements along with MiraCosta College's general education coursework for an Associate in Science degree (see Associate Degrees).
