Complete at least one team-based learning course from the 12 required options. Choices encompass research seminars, hands-on learning, teaching assistantships, independent projects, guided research, senior thesis work, and internship placements.
The honors program offers a culminating experience in a student's final year, enabling original social science research in an intimate collaborative environment. Unlike conventional coursework where students synthesize established viewpoints, honors candidates develop and test their own hypotheses. While many theses incorporate statistical analysis, qualitative or theoretical approaches are equally valid alternatives.
