The Mechanical Engineering PhD program aims to prepare students for the challenging requirements of research careers in both industry and academia. This doctoral program within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science equips students with cutting-edge knowledge in technical innovation, management strategies, systems design, and analytical decision-making. Successful candidates must possess advanced mathematical skills and expertise in a specialized mechanical engineering discipline. While full-time enrollment is standard, part-time study is permitted with the condition that candidates complete at least one academic year of full-time residency on campus.
