The MPH/Master of Bioethics (MBE) is a joint degree initiative offered by the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine's Master of Public Health Program and Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy. This combined program equips students to become pioneers in public health and bioethics research initiatives and policy development. By merging the shared objectives and principles of public health and bioethics, the program provides comprehensive training to tackle ethical dilemmas confronting the public health sector both now and in the future.

Completed application via SOPHAS. Find the Penn MPH Program's SOPHAS listing here. Note: All tracks are evaluated with the same criteria. Please apply under one track only. Should you matriculate into the program, you will have the flexibility to finalize your track at a later time.
English Language Proficiency: TOEFL score (minimum of 100) or IELTS score (minimum of 7.0) or degree from an English-language institution for applicants whose first language is not English. The code for the TOEFL exam is 5688.
