The Master of City Planning core program equips students with fundamental planning competencies applicable across all specializations, reflecting our innovative and hands-on educational philosophy. Graduates will gain expertise in urban planning's legal and historical foundations, master techniques for analyzing demographic and economic data to assess communities, and comprehend global urban and metropolitan configurations. Crucially, they'll develop the ability to determine optimal planning strategies for diverse situations. The Housing, Community and Economic Development specialization examines how planners and policymakers impact socioeconomic forces affecting urban neighborhoods and metro economies, with particular attention to underserved communities. This track readies students for careers in housing finance, neighborhood renewal, employment initiatives, downtown revitalization, and managing public sector urban/regional economic programs. This concentration requires four credits.
