Alongside the MA granted through the PhD track, NELC provides a standalone (terminal) master's degree in Egyptology. The Egyptology graduate program at NELC facilitates in-depth exploration of ancient Egyptian languages and cultures. MA candidates receive a dedicated faculty mentor to oversee their academic journey. Typically spanning three semesters, coursework is chosen collaboratively with the advisor. Every student, irrespective of specialization, must achieve proficiency in at least one language containing primary sources relevant to NELC's disciplines, with requirements differing across subfields.
