The Integrated Product Design certificate enables students from diverse academic backgrounds to specialize in product design. This interdisciplinary program, collaboratively provided by the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Wharton, and the School of Design, validates students' engagement with human-centered design methodologies for creating innovative products. Participants will explore design thinking principles, work on projects of varying complexity, prototype multiple iterations of their concepts, tackle manufacturing challenges, develop supporting technologies, analyze financial model impacts on design, and formulate business plans.
