The Health and Societies (HSOC) program explores health and medicine through a societal lens, providing students with analytical thinking and interdisciplinary competencies for professions in public health, healthcare services, and diverse fields. This curriculum is grounded in three fundamental areas: anthropology, history, and sociology. Additional approaches and coursework from domains like epidemiology, political science, business/economics, legal studies, environmental science, and bioethics enhance the core subjects, equipping students with versatile tools to understand the factors influencing modern healthcare systems. Graduates emerge as multilingual academics and engaged citizens, proficient in multiple social science methodologies - theoretically grounded yet solution-oriented, possessing both international awareness and community-based experience.
