The Art & Technology program in the School of Art and Design fosters the integration of digital media practices with art theory, blending technical expertise, aesthetic sensibility, and scholarly inquiry. Our curriculum prioritizes imaginative problem-solving, hands-on exploration, innovative visual communication methods, and deep investigative work. We welcome students who are naturally curious, embrace creative challenges, and push boundaries. The program champions bold experimentation and originality throughout artistic development.
As an emerging artist, you'll cultivate analytical thinking, effective communication, and inventive approaches. Through studio work and cross-disciplinary collaboration, you'll gain mastery of materials, technical proficiency, experimental methodologies, and the ability to express ideas visually.
The program structure encompasses fundamental art courses, art history studies, and specialized studio work across diverse mediums including digital arts, ceramics, textiles, metalwork, painting, photography, printmaking, and three-dimensional forms. While all students complete core requirements, the program offers ample opportunities to concentrate on your chosen artistic disciplines.
