Bachelor's Degree
The art program's main objective is to cultivate technical skills while fostering an understanding of modern artistic contexts and professional art practices. Students pursuing an art major can obtain either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with the B.F.A. being particularly advised for those aiming for graduate studies in visual arts or professional studio careers. The curriculum encompasses various disciplines including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, fiber arts, metalwork and jewelry, digital media, mixed media, and ceramics. Specialized courses in papermaking and other focused topics are also offered. For non-art majors, the program provides an Art History and Studio minor option.
