The General Social Sciences (GSS) program is an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree designed to equip students for today's interconnected world. Through this program, students gain expertise in examining societal challenges using research methodologies and analytical reasoning. They cultivate creative approaches to problem-solving that translate well into diverse sectors including corporate, public service, legal, and educational fields. The GSS program structure emphasizes adaptability in both scheduling and academic content, empowering students to customize their learning journey while managing various academic and personal commitments.
This multidisciplinary program features four specialized career tracks: applied economics, business and society, crime/law/society studies, globalization/environment/policy, and social studies education. Each concentration equips students with practical competencies for numerous professional trajectories. According to EMSI data, GSS alumni most frequently enter careers in management, sales, administrative support, and education-related fields.
