Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese can choose among three distinct pathways: the culture-focused track, the language-intensive program, or the linguistics-centered option. Similar academic focus areas may be called concentrations, specializations, emphases, fields of study, or academic tracks. The Chinese major offers three specialized directions: language studies, cultural studies, or linguistic studies.
