The Master of Science in Geography equips graduates with specialized knowledge in physical and environmental geography, addressing workforce needs across public and private sectors. This program prepares graduates to master spatial analysis techniques and emerge as leaders in research, policymaking, and environmental resource management. Students can select between two specialized tracks - Physical Geography or Geospatial Technologies - available in both thesis and non-thesis formats. The curriculum includes a selection of guided elective courses for all participants. The University of Oklahoma's Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability (DGES) provides comprehensive graduate education, offering M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Geography alongside the M.S. in Environmental Sustainability.
