The global demand for chemistry graduates trained in American programs has risen significantly in recent years. Aspiring scientists now have expanded options to pursue studies in medical chemistry and related natural science disciplines. This dynamic era offers chemistry students at OU exceptional chances to engage in cutting-edge research while earning their qualifications. Our department currently supports investigations into groundbreaking areas including natural compound-based drug development, enhanced antibiotics for resistant strains, solar cell optimization, computational chemistry uses, and nanoscale biomaterials for medical applications. New students can join ongoing projects while also receiving support to pursue their own research interests.
