The University of Oklahoma's School of Music is dedicated to fostering education, artistic creation, academic research, and community engagement. Both faculty and students strive to elevate music education, expand performance and scholarly knowledge, and strengthen the field through professional contributions locally and globally. Founded in 1903 as OU's second academic school, it has held Institutional Membership in the National Association of Schools of Music since 1931. As Oklahoma's sole music school offering doctoral programs, it supports its community through the creative and academic achievements of its faculty, students, and graduates.
