Typically, full-time students can finish a master's degree within four standard semesters, while part-time students can progress at their preferred speed, with a maximum completion window of five years.

Creative Media Production
This specialization allows students to explore personal interests in video production and multimedia through a blend of theoretical learning and hands-on experience. Students customize their studies by combining foundational research and theory courses with specialized classes or independent projects in video production and interactive media.
Media Management
The media management track prepares students for leadership roles in the industry by offering targeted courses that build essential skills. Participants shape their academic journey through core media research and theory classes, JMC 5970 Fundamentals of Media Management, and additional JMC coursework or faculty-guided independent study. They may also select supplementary classes in marketing, business administration, or human relations to align with their professional goals.
Journalism
This concentration tackles both practical and theoretical aspects of news gathering, editing, and dissemination. Students can explore digital journalism through relevant coursework, supplemented by diverse classes from other departments that match their career aspirations.
Strategic Communication: PR and Advertising
