Modern journalism in the digital age requires gathering, processing, and interpreting information to create compelling narratives and conduct in-depth investigations. The journalism department provides a specialized Master of Science in Data Journalism for those seeking expertise in this evolving field. This three-semester graduate program equips students with practical experience to craft impactful, data-rich stories that serve the public good. Today's information landscape demands reporters who can uncover meaningful insights within complex datasets. The curriculum builds students' confidence in leveraging data to fulfill journalism's core purpose. No prior data or programming knowledge is necessary for enrollment. Foundational coursework (detailed below) ensures all participants develop essential skills in data collection, processing, and interpretation. Note that students pursuing the Data Journalism degree cannot simultaneously enroll in the Stabile investigative or documentary tracks, though they may elect to take related courses in investigative techniques, video production, and other subjects.
Applicant must have completed bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States or its equivalent from another country.
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 650 on Paper based, 280 on Computer-based, 114 on Internet-based and Overall IELTS score of 8.0
