The University of Oklahoma's Mathematics Department provides these academic degree options: Doctorate in Mathematics, Master of Science in Mathematics, and Master of Arts in Mathematics. Our challenging curriculum equips students with comprehensive mathematical expertise. OU alumni pursue rewarding careers across academic institutions, corporate sectors, and public agencies. The department specializes in key disciplines including Algebraic Studies and Number Theory, Analytical Methods and Applied Mathematics, Geometric and Topological Studies, and Mathematics Education Research (RUME). Our community consists of about 34 professors, 60 postgraduate scholars, and 8 postdoctoral fellows. The department fosters a warm, cooperative environment featuring multiple weekly research seminars and traditional tea gatherings across all specialty areas.
