The University of Oklahoma's early childhood graduate programs equip students to become pioneers in the field. Our alumni are prepared for diverse career paths, serving as skilled educators, advisors, directors, policy supporters, investigators, training specialists, and university professors. Those enrolled in the Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum graduate programs (with early childhood focus) expand their expertise in child development, pedagogy, and educational processes. Eligible candidates may additionally complete coursework to fulfill Oklahoma's early childhood certification standards.

Qualification Requirements

The Graduate Dean governs admission and enrollment in the Graduate College. Except for those in unclassified status, the student must be recommended for admission by an academic unit.
All admissions to the Graduate College require that the student hold a baccalaureate degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
Undergraduates in their final semester at accredited colleges and universities may apply for admission to the Graduate College.
Scoring 6.5 or higher on the IELTS, Scoring 79 or higher on the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT).
