Bachelor's Degree
The Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. program mandates ninety credit hours beyond the bachelor's degree, incorporating both the M.S. curriculum in Biomedical Engineering and at least nine extra graduate-level credits. The remaining hours consist of research credits. Students must complete three credits in life sciences (selected from approved graduate-level courses) and six credits in engineering, science, or mathematics (chosen with advisor approval). Applicants with a bachelor's degree may enroll directly in the Ph.D. track without completing an M.S. thesis. To graduate, candidates must produce and defend an original doctoral dissertation, showcasing advanced research capabilities.
