Philosophy represents the practice of questioning life's mysteries. Central to our human journey are the inquiries we make while striving to comprehend our existence as both inhabitants of the physical universe and participants in ethical societies. Humans don't merely exist - we yearn for purposeful lives. Similar to other humanities fields, philosophy investigates various foundations of significance, such as our capacity to comprehend the universe, our interpersonal connections, and the principles we uphold (among others). Philosophy stands apart through its dedication to examining these matters using human rationality: philosophical inquiry employs logical reasoning that scrutinizes and attempts to validate convictions. Therefore, philosophy serves as a form of introspection where you uncover your beliefs and subsequently assess their validity. Philosophy courses support students in their reflective journeys by introducing diverse concepts and approaches from global traditions. Learners explore philosophy historically by studying influential thinkers, participate in modern academic discussions, and develop abilities to critically assess, judge, and formulate well-structured, persuasive arguments.
