This graduate program awards MS and PhD degrees through the Department of Biological Sciences, featuring a curriculum that combines required and optional courses for students seeking a comprehensive understanding of human-environment relationships.
The M.S. program cultivates an interdisciplinary approach to environmental research, incorporating coursework across biology, philosophy, and geography disciplines. Students progress toward becoming independent researchers, culminating in a thesis project supervised by a faculty advisor and committee.
The Department of Biological Sciences delivers exceptional academic training for graduate students pursuing degrees in Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, or Environmental Science at the University of North Texas.
