Assist individuals with communication challenges, both children and adults. Our Speech-Language Pathology Master's program (MS-SLP) delivers comprehensive academic and clinical training to equip you for professional practice in educational and healthcare environments. The program leads to either a Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. By fulfilling the required coursework, lab training, and clinical practicum, you'll become eligible for national certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and state licensing. Collaborate with faculty on diverse research initiatives while utilizing specialized research labs, clinical treatment spaces, a clinic library, student work areas, and computer facilities.
Beyond on-campus training at the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, students can access over 100 regional practicum locations, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation clinics, and schools, where they conduct hearing assessments and promote hearing health awareness. UNT's practice-oriented M.S. program provides exceptional experiential learning to develop skilled practitioners. Each student's clinical progress is carefully supervised, with regular competency evaluations conducted every semester.
