The Instrument Studies division provides a Master of Music performance degree focusing on: violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp, guitar, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, and multiple woodwind instruments. A key feature of our graduate studies is the personalized instruction from acclaimed performers, educators, and recording artists. Our Instrumental Studies division boasts 34 full-time faculty and 20 adjunct professors from elite ensembles including the Dallas Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, and Dallas Opera. As one of America's most extensive music institutions, we provide unique opportunities to engage with leading music scholars and artists through specialized lectures and events organized by various college departments.
Admission to this 37-credit program requires applicants to first satisfy the collaborative piano specialization entry criteria.
