Our program typically enrolls 60-70 master's candidates and nine doctoral students, graduating approximately 17 each year. Key objectives include: Equipping you for professional success as a jazz artist, composer, arranger, or instructor. Deepening your awareness of jazz's historical roots and its connections to wider musical traditions. Supporting your artistic development through performance and recording opportunities at various levels. Facilitating professional connections through guest artist collaborations and music business education.
