Tackle some of society's most pressing challenges through our Applied Anthropology master's programs. These degrees prepare you to become an effective practitioner, administrator, researcher, or evaluator in real-world settings. Established in 2000, UNT's on-campus anthropology master's program caters to students seeking advanced training in applied anthropology. With most graduate courses scheduled in the evenings, working professionals can conveniently balance their studies. On-campus students benefit from intimate cohort sizes and regular interaction with peers and faculty. The two-year program structure involves taking three courses each semester (totaling twelve classes) and completing thesis research during the summer break.
Our online master's program serves students facing geographical, professional, or personal commitments that prevent campus attendance. We particularly welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in anthropology. Developed by UNT's anthropology faculty, this innovative program delivers the same academic rigor as traditional on-campus study while offering greater accessibility through flexible online learning.
