The Advanced Certificate in Rehabilitation Counseling for Post-Graduates caters to both practicing and future rehabilitation counselors aiming to obtain the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor designation, following Category R guidelines set by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification. This program mandates completion of 21 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in rehabilitation counseling. Eligibility is restricted to individuals holding an accredited master's, specialist, or doctoral degree in specific fields including behavioral health, behavioral science, disability studies, human relations, human services, marriage and family therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, psychometrics, rehabilitation, social work, special education, or vocational assessment/evaluation.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must apply to and be accepted by UNT's Toulouse Graduate School. Applicants typically have a 3.0 GPA or higher on the last 60 undergraduate semester hours from their bachelor's degree, and at least a 3.4 on a completed master's degree. Applicants with lower GPAs may be considered by individual review
