Explore the unseen mechanisms of the cosmos - spanning from quantum particles to galactic dimensions. Physics graduate students at our department gain hands-on experience using cutting-edge technology in contemporary research facilities. With over 60 dedicated graduate researchers guided by approximately 20 faculty experts, UNT's Physics Graduate program ranks among Texas' most extensive. The majority of full-time students receive financial support through assistantships or fellowships. We provide graduate teaching assistantships at three tiers, offering monthly stipends between $1,680 and $2,280 for nine months, plus potential summer work opportunities. This support includes an out-of-state tuition waiver and potential eligibility for tuition remission grants.
