The UNCW Behavior Analysis Master's program aims to advance behavioral science by educating graduate students across all key areas of the discipline. Program alumni are equipped for professional practice at the Master's level or for progression into doctoral studies. The applied behavior analysis specialization emphasizes theoretical and methodological principles while employing data-driven strategies for behavioral evaluation and clinical psychology. Behavioral analysis applications span diverse fields such as developmental disabilities, medical psychology, education, non-profits, and more, with a strong focus on implementing research-backed interventions. Participants may collaborate with researchers studying behavioral pharmacology. This two-year curriculum features research and applied practicums along with a thesis requirement, culminating in a 750-hour internship. Graduates earn a Master of Science in Psychology with an Applied Behavior Analysis specialization.
