Meet the technical standards for admission or show potential for accomplished tasks
Undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Minimum of 3.0 GPA from undergraduate coursework
Personal statement in 1000 words or less describing primary career goals, most direct influence on choice to become an Athletic Trainer, your attributes related to the field of Athletic Training, and why you should be selected to the Athletic Training major
Three (3) letters of recommendation
Grade Point Average: Have a strong overall academic record with a B average or better in the basic courses prerequisite to the area of proposed graduate study. Provisional admission may be considered by some programs. Contact the program coordinator for additional information regarding their acceptance policy.
Level Graduate and undergraduate programs may not be pursued simultaneously.
Online Accelerated Programs (OAP): OAP programs must be pursued independent of any other program.
SpanTran and other NACES companies may not consider a 3-year bachelor's degree as equivalent to a 4-year bachelor's degree in the U.S. If you earned a 3-year bachelor's degree and have no other university degrees, we recommend you first reach out to the evaluation agency to see if they will typically recommend a bachelor's equivalency for your degree.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System), or Duolingo English Test as a part of their application for admission. TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo scores are valid for two years from the date the test is administered. A minimum score of 79 (TOEFL iBT) / 550 (TOEFL paper test), 6.5 on the IELTS, or 100 on the Duolingo English Test is required for admission. Please note that satisfactory performance on one of these tests is a requirement for admission but does not guarantee acceptance to the university.
